I have been a Jesuit for 60 years and a priest for 50.  

It is not possible for me to talk about the stories of life apart from God, 

Jesus, compassion, kinship, redemption, mercy and our common call to delight in one another.




I have come to see with greater clarity, 

That the day simply will not come, 

When I am more noble, have more courage, 

or am closer to God, 

Than the folks I have met here at 

St. Mary by the Sea.
